Ravenclaw
They didn’t end up in Ravenclaw House by mistake. These are the readers. These are the thinkers. These are the people who really do get excited by learning stuff, and who don’t feel any shame about that excitement either. They quote the books in the time before there were movies. They will still tell you their opinions about the movies. Picking the right gift for a Ravenclaw matters more than it does for nearly anyone else, because they see things and they remember things and they will KNOW if you just picked up a bottle with a logo on it and thought you were done.
We built this shop because that person deserves more than a house crest infused water bottle from the gift shop at Universal Studios. The Ravenclaw spirit goes deeper than blue and bronze. It’s cleverness and intelligence and that specific kind of pride you feel when you’re the only one who actually read the assigned chapter. So we hunted down stuff that we felt was befitting that. Items that any thoughtful person would actually love to own, rather than simply letting collect dust.
Each and every item here has been curated by us. We asked ourselves if a Ravenclaw would LIKE it or simply be gracious about it. Everything that fell into the gracious category was eliminated. And that is not hyperbole. Ravenclaws can be polite, but they’re also not easy to please, and there’s a difference between a gift that gets a smile and a gift that gets…well. The proper reaction.
Some things we selected play up to the aesthetic. The colours. The iconography. The feeling you get when you know you’re part of that distinct slice of Hogwarts. Some items reflect less the house itself and more the types of people within it. We know Ravenclaws tend to like certain things. Books, of course. Beautiful notebooks. Items that actually took some skills to produce. Gifts that you’ll notice.
