Ghostbusters
Some films people enjoy watching, some films people take with them everywhere they go for the rest of their lives. Ghostbusters is one of those films. Made in 1984 and people really haven’t stopped talking about it since. Even the logo gives people nostalgic feelings we all know and love. You see that tiny ghost being zapped by that red line and bam, instantly transported back to the first time you saw it on your VHS player or remembering your duvet on the sofa and your brother sat next to you eating Frosties. That Ghostbusters gifts.
They are less about remembering a movie, and more about a nostalgia that everyone who watched Ghostbusters has held onto since they were young.
When we compiled this list we had one type of Ghostbuster in mind. Not necessarily the kind of person who has every single item of Ghostbusters merchandise or can reel off the films production history (they exist. We love them.) but more the kind of person who has fond feelings for something that made them happy as kids and still does now. That person is easy to get gifts for when you find the right stuff. Very unlucky will you be if you purchase the wrong stuff.
This being said there is a lot of Ghostbusters merchandise out there. Too much junk merchandise. Cheap plastic, screen printed with minimal effort kinds of merchandise. Things that look cool at wallet size but you never actually want to own. We looked through everything and selected only the items we would want to receive as gifts. Things that are well crafted, specific enough that you know someone put thought into it and cool enough that you actually want to use/display/wear them.
We have mascots you can hang on your wall, ones you can wear on your wall. Art prints, t-shirts, mugs, studio-quality soundtracks, you name it. Some of our picks are subtle, some are not. But each item was chosen with love and thought towards the geek it will find a home with.
