Piano
Somewhere out there is someone who sat down at a piano once and lost track of time for an hour. They may have been grade eight. They may only know three chords they learned at age fourteen. Either way. Does not matter. They have real relationship with that piano. One that is specific and profound and says something true about them as a person. Which means you can buy for them. Really buy for them. If you pay attention.
We built this collection with people like that in mind.
Musicians playing piano are not niche! There are millions of them around the world quietly learning songs in living rooms and teaching studios and shitty college rooms turned into home studios. And yet pianos are almost never given the gift treatment they deserve. A mug. Pictures of a treble clef. A tote bag with some mumbo jumbo about music teaching on it.
But whoever you’re buying for deserves better than that. So we looked for things that mattered.
Things that someone who plays would actually want to use. Things that fit meaningfully inside the experience of playing, whether that’s learning a new song; repairing an old piano; or simply knowing it’s there, as the focal point of any room. There’s a difference between things that imagine what pianists like, and things that piano players would actually love. It’s significant! When you’re trying to find something as personal as a gift, it matters enormously.
Some of the things we’ve selected are genuinely useful, things you know your musician would love but they’ll buy themselves if they ever remember it exists. Some are more sentimental without getting stupid about it. Designed for people who know that a piano isn’t just an instrument, but without treating it like a baby. And some are, well. Objects so beautiful you’d want one in your house regardless of whether you knew how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
We also tried to think about all the different kinds of pianists there are. The kid building up to their first exam. The person who started playing again after a decades long hiatus. The professional musician who will silently judge you if you buy them anything that doesn’t scream “I know what I’m doing”. Whoever they are, they deserve more than a novelt-y. Gift. Replace your stock gifts with something from this collection.
