They care about the feeling that you paid attention. That you noticed they watched the same show four times. That you know which universe they escaped to for three weeks straight. That you know which character they’d fight you about until everyone has left the room. We built this shop for those people. The ones who stage parties for season finales. The ones with strong opinions about cinematography who will tell you those opinions whether you want to hear them or not. The ones that legitimately cry when one of their favourite shows gets cancelled. A lot of us fit that description. Which means we’ve spent enough time searching for gifts for people like us to recognise the ones that work and the ones that will embarrass you if someone spots them in your cupboard. Trust us, the worst thing you can get for someone who loves television is actually television related merchandise. Wedged into that tissue-thin bag it smells like disappointment. That don’t just see the shows they reference as brand-monetisation opportunities but actual cultural pieces. Art prints that you’d actually want to hang up.
