Some people like drinking coffee. Other people live around it. The morning cup isn’t optional. Neither is the afternoon. Before they know it it has quietly become one of the more ritualised things they’ll do all day. If you have a coffee person like this in your life then you already know that a bag of supermarket beans with a bow round it is not enough.
We built this collection with that person in mind. Whether they’re the person who has strong opinions about extraction time and water temperature or the person who has only just started to understand that there is a world beyond instant, and wants someone to show them round properly. Both of them are worth buying for. And neither of them deserve a mug with a slogan printed on it.
Everything we’ve picked here we asked ourselves one question when measuring it against. Would we be happy to receive it as a gift ourselves? That instantly rules out a whole bunch of things. It rules out novelty. It rules out stuff that looks good on paper or in packaging but feels kinda cheap when you hold it. It rules out coffee-related gifts that don’t actually involve drinking amazing coffee. We don’t want gifts that perform. We want gifts that work.

Gifts for coffee lovers are different to most. You use coffee every day. Get this right and you’re embedding yourself into someone’s routine. Every morning for the next year they’ll have a moment where they think; ‘this isn’t something I would’ve picked but someone understands me’. That’s what we’re going for here. Nothing less than that.
