Bride
Finding the right gift for the bride is tougher than it seems. Not because she’s hard to buy for (although everyone thinks she is) but because everyone else thinks that too. The market floods with silk robes and monogrammed champagne flutes before you’ve even considered what she’d actually like. We’ve given it some thought. A lot of it. And what kept circling back to mind was the difference between gifts that celebrate the occasion and gifts that know her.
Planning her wedding is going to be the biggest, most photographed, most Pinterest-inspired day of her life. But sometimes what she needs isn’t another ornament to collect dust on a shelf. She needs something that makes the moments leading up to it and the ones after feel curated too. The weeks before will be an actual frenzy. Trust us, you’ll understand when you’re there. The weeks after can be eerily calm in comparison. They both deserve something great.
That’s why we’ve carefully selected this edit with her in mind. Not the hen do. Not the wedding table scheme. For the bride as a person. Aside from telling us that immediately meant crossing off a huge swath of clichés. We didn’t want to include stuff that only feels like a gift if you slap a veil emoji on the box. We’ve sought out things that will be useful long after the morning of the wedding. Things that she’ll still grab for six months down the line without guilt.
Some of these gifts are about treating herself. For REAL this time, not the Instagram-worthy version. Some are laughably practical if we’re honest, in the best way. The kind of treat she’d convince herself she doesn’t need with so many weddings bills to spend on right now but would adore receiving. We’ve tossed in one or two things for the day itself too. Because yes, even though she’ll spend the next year vaguely planning how she’ll make this day perfect for you there’s bound to be a last minute panic. You know, the getting ready, morning-of, hustling-through-the-small-hours kind.
We kept this edit nice and small for a reason. There’s only so many gifts that fit into this category. We’d rather show you those than overwhelm you with things that don’t. If you’re reading this and you know her well enough to be shopping for her at this stage in her life then she deserves better than the first thing you find in a bridal newsletter. So do you.
