Sister
Buying for a sister is difficult, and not just because you know her better than almost anyone and therefore feel the pressure to get it right. You also know her better than almost anyone and because of that, whatever you pick is weighted with expectation in a way that buying for a colleague or neighbour simply isn’t. It needs to say something true about her as a person. It needs to feel considered, not just grabbed off a shelf. And most of all it needs to land exactly right, because if you miss, she’ll remember. Whether you went big or small.
We built this shop around that problem. How do you translate decades of knowing someone into an object you can gift? You can’t vibe check sisters and pick something based on whether they Instagram DIY Wall Accents or Sprouts for breakfast. Sisters are individuals. They have unique tastes and they know you enough to see straight through anything halfhearted.
So we scoured endlessly for products that jump these arbitrary categories but still feel genuinely considered. Not considered in a try hard way, but in a way that will make her think you were paying attention. A gift that reflects her rather than your idea of her. That might seem like an obvious distinction, but you’d be surprised how often it’s overlooked.
Some of the things in this collection are for birthdays. Some are for Christmas or thank you gifts or those in between moments like new jobs or surviving crappy years. Some are for sister’s you talk to everyday and some are for the ones you only see a few times a year but have a bond so strong you instantly relax in each other’s presence. Trying to account for all of those variables was our priority when picking pieces which is why there aren’t many. It doesn’t have to be that big. You don’t need 30 options to find something great, you just need to know it when you see it.
