10th Anniversary
Ten years is nothing. Ten years is everything. It’s a decade of saying yes to each other over morning coffee and burned dinners and really great dinners and late movies and texts to sleep next to. Ten years deserves a gift with some understanding of how significant that is without taking itself too seriously. Tin or aluminium is the traditional material. Which feels terribly dull until you realize what a freeing concept that is and then look closely. We looked very closely.
Here's what we came up with. When we considered gifts for ten years together, we kept returning to the idea that the best anniversary gifts aren’t ones that could be given for any old celebration of two people in love. Whilst diamonds are forever, a bottle of pricey champagne is just...champagne. Sure, a weekend away is nice, but it’s not really saying much at all. We wanted things that would truly resonate as thoughtful; things that you could hold in your hand or open up or curl up with and know that someone had taken the time to think about you.
Some of our selections follow the tin theme with items that showcase incredible craftsmanship. Some twist it up completely with things we think are just great for marking 10 years together. We don’t like to dwell on the rules too much. We are exacting when it comes to quality, however. Every product we feature has to truly deserve to be a gift for 10 years together. We don’t tolerate anything that’s just pretending.
Ten years is one of those milestones that everyone does notice. It’s past the super sweet early years but before you get into decades with specific woods. Ten feels different. Special, but not sleepy. It’s comfortable, and confidently content, and a gift to celebrate your decade should embody that sense of ease without roaring it from the rooftops.
We removed anything that felt too obvious. If you’re going to shop for something that celebrates 10 years, you can find those somewhere else. Everything we picked is something we would buy ourselves to give to someone we love. Every single product had to justify its inclusion by being just truly good. Not just good enough because it’s expected, but wonderfully well-made or thoughtful or impactful. Things that feel less like obligatory gifts and more like celebrations.
