We all know a Red Devil Snob. The one who’s got the shirt, got the scarf, got the mug but who always still needs ‘something for home’ for their February birthday/Christmas/the anniversary of some iconic night in 19** that they will not stop referencing for weeks. Shopping for them is difficult not because they’re high maintenance but because anything worthy of their collection is already stuffed into their kitchen cupboard.
That cupboard. It’s what we set out to improve.
Stocking stuffers featuring a crest are everywhere. That’s not what we wanted to compile. There’s plenty of flimsy stuff like that online and most of it will be relegated to the back of a cupboard itself once the wrapping paper has been thrown away. We wanted the edit. The presents that actually matter to someone who supports United. Gifts that’ll earn you a visceral reaction rather than a grunt.
Anything we recommend had to pass a quick sniff test. Would you grab this gift and rush home to unwrap it right now? Would a lifelong United fan actually want this? Would Cantona himself use it if he were still living in Manchester? If the answer to any of those questions was no then it didn’t make the cut. Some technically fit the brief but felt like they were being marketed at football fans in general rather than United fans. Ta.
