Shopping for a Marlins fan isn’t the same as shopping for a Yankees fan or a Red Sox fan. There’s no generations-old legacy of World Series lore to inform your gift search. There’s no ocean of red pinstriped caps to let you know what everyone already has. There is, however, something that far too many unobservant people miss – a fiercely loyal fanbase that knows better than anyone what it means to stand by your team through the lean years. Choosing to follow the Marlins is not convenient. You follow them because you love baseball, you love Miami, and you accept the Marlins as the beautiful intersection of those loves.
