Families dress up like ostriches at Christmas. Other families hoard antique china or have unhealthy obsessions with their rose bushes. The Addams family hoards severed hands and keeps a lion in the foyer closet. And against all odds they are fiction’s healthiest, happiest family. Loving and supportive in a way that is ENTIRELY why you loved them in the first place. There’s something reassuring about a family that does everything ‘wrong’ by mainstream standards but gets along just fine without caring.

We curated this because Addams Family themed merchandise ranges from absolute trash to absolutely beautiful and we wanted to save you the trouble of sorting through the dumpster. Sure there’s a lot of stuff out there that leans hard on the license without appreciating what made it beloved to begin with. Cheap throwaway novelty items that were made to be forgotten. That specific brand of creepy care that Charles Addams refined through decades of Yorker cartoons long before the Addams actually had a popular sitcom. That hand drawn shock-factor, delivered absolutely free of any hostility whatsoever. Presents that’ll feel like something to geeky friends who remember the original comics, or your folksy aunt who cut her teeth on the 1991 movie.
It’s good for the person who has one corner of their apartment dungeon themed because they like their whiskey dark. It’s good for Halloween. Birthdays with family themes.
