Star Wars
There’s a fan out there who doesn’t need another poster, doesn’t need another mug featuring a lightsaber. They definitely don’t need another LEGO set that you happen to own already. Finding that something for that person can be tough. Between market saturation and officially licensed mediocrity, most options are about as exciting as they sound. We built this because we didn’t want the obvious answer.
At Beautiful Wrath we love Star Wars. Not like, culturally love, we love it like real fans. We have opinions on the original trilogy that we will never stop talking about. We’ve thought long and hard about what the perfect gift would look like for somebody who grew up with Star Wars and still feels it in their bones today. That fan is who we built this with in mind.
Our parents didn’t hang posters from imported italian markets on their wall. We bought our own copy of The Empire Strikes Back. We want things that earn their keep, that feel like a part of your home or your life, without calling attention to themselves whenever somebody walks through the door.
All of the picks here are things we genuinely love. We asked ourselves, is this something I’d actually want to give as a gift? If the answer was yes, was it recognizable? Acceptable? Finally: was it actually worth giving? Lots of stuff didn’t pass that last test because it leaned too hard on being Star Wars and didn’t have anything else to offer. That winnowed our list down significantly.
Does your intended hail from 1977 or 2017? Doesn’t matter. Is it their birthday? Christmas? Are they just really hard to buy for because they have good taste and will notice if something isn’t quite right? Funko pops, games, art prints: we’ve got you. Some of these gifts are subtle enough to work anywhere. Some of it will blast things like it just destroyed the Death Star. Just… depend on who you’re shopping for and pick what feels right.
We didn’t attempt to make gifts lists that covered every possible interest. We did everything we could to find the best iteration of the thing we’re geeking out about. So if you’re here for breadth of catalogue you’ll be disappointed, but if you’re here to find something you can feel awesome about giving; you’ve come to the right place.
