She never waited around to be saved. That’s the part people gloss over, or maybe internalized once upon a time but let slip away. Everyone was swooning over Han and Luke, but Leia was commanding starfighters, issuing orders, and shouting at Darth Vader without batting an eye. Leia became iconic decades ago and nobody who loves her remembers any other way.

That’s who this collection is for. Not the Joe Shmo with a wall poster, but for the person who always felt something when Leia was onscreen. Who grew up with her and grew those feelings into adulthood. Who saw a piece of themselves in Leia’s quick wit, refusal to be bullied or minimized, and that ewok-slap hair that became its own meme.
It’s difficult to find Leia worthy gifts. So much of Star Wars stuff is laser drills and face masks. Is wonderful! But not if you know the person you’re shopping for came here specifically for the General. We put in the leg work to dig a little deeper than the first “Star Wars + Women’s Basics” internet shopping basket and selected items that actually feel special. Articles that know how to celebrate her rather than lump her in with a galaxy full of dudes who sell more action figures.
Which leads us to our bar for entry. If we wouldn’t give it to someone we knew loved Leia, it didn’t make the cut. Would we feel confident this would land with them? Not just fill a stocking, but land. We nearly included a couple things that mission slipped because they just felt like they were leaning too hard on the brand instead of Leia.
