He-Man
We are all that guy who grew up in the eighties building forts with the Castle Grayskull playset and who legitimately believed as a child that He-Man was the strongest man in the universe. Or at least we know someone who is. The difficult part is finding that perfect gift for him; or for yourself if we're being honest. It can be tough to find the right thing, but largely that's because people aren't looking in the right place.
In terms of merchandise, everything He-Man related falls into either the cheap-and-cheesy or insanely collectible pricing spectrum. We set out to fix that by bringing you stuff that balances quality with actual usefulness. Goods you wouldn't be embarrassed to display on a shelf or keep on your desk, rather than crap that gets relegated to a drawer by the start of February.
When we say quality, we mean stuff that feels considered. Funko Pop! figures don't count. As much as we love those guys, we are looking for gifts that show you actually put some thought into the person you're buying for. Whether it's picking up a gift for your inner eighties-child or an actual child who loves He-Man, we wanted things that actually suit the passions of the recipient.
Part of that comes from understanding He-Man's relationship to nostalgia. It is nostalgia we're going for here and not tired ironic jokes. Everyone who loved He-Man as a kid really loved He-Man and the best gifts available reflect that. There are tons of bits and pieces out there that lean into the camp side of the property, but we looked for things that respected the source material. The symbolism. The characters. The very world that an entire generation grew up dreaming about.
