Skyrim
Games come and games go. Skyrim hasn’t gone because for over a decade it’s quietly lingered in the background of people’s lives. It hangs around for so long that its managed to seep into their souls. We know them: the people who’ve done every questline. The ones who’ve modded Skyrim beyond all recognition then rebooted into a virgin game. Who’ve named their pet Rock’noll or whispered “I used to be an adventurer like you” without prompting at family dinners. These are our people and we say that without a hint of sarcasm.
The problem is good gifts for Skyrim fans are hard to come by. Most stuff is either insanely priced print on demand tat that looks nothing like the photos or depends so heavily on one joke you'll quickly get bored of it. We spent weeks trawling through all the weird gaps in between, to find stuff that felt like it was actually built with a love of the game, not just a license. Products that try to replicate that magic.
We were looking for stuff that struck a balance between quality and nostalgia. Artwork that can summon up a memory of standing on a mountaintop at sunrise, with the entire province stretching out in front of you. Things that feel special enough to earn a place on display, rather than quietly getting shoved in a drawer within six months. Snuggle items for that person who views binging Skyrim as a valid method of self care. Which, ya know. If you need to unwind we fully endorse it.
Skyrim is a game that prizes attentiveness. It rewards you for reading the books on the shelves as you delve deeper into its many dungeons, and spending twenty minutes just watching a storm roll in over the mountains. The best gifts are the ones that ask for the same level of attention from their creators as Skyrim does from its players. These did. Whether your pickling friend discovered Skyrim at launch in 2011 and refuses to let anyone else play their save, or they started playing recently and you now can’t seen them without VR goggles on – these gifts will hit. They won’t just be Skyrmir branded, they’ll fit.
