Buying a boyfriend a gift is frustratingly difficult. Not because he's high maintenance or weird (although he could be those things!) but because most options just don't feel like enough. Socks? Beer batter cue ring? Man boots?! We've all grabbed boyfriend gifts that fall into these categories and immediately regretted it when watch them sit...awkwardly...on the receiver's desk. Done. So for this gift guide we went about it with a different mentality. We asked ourselves what we'd want if someone was trying to show they actually knew us rather than knew we liked beer and jeans. Suddenly a lot of ideas were kicked to the curb. No more "lets get masculine items" and we definitely ruled out anything that you see on every gift guide out there. Cheesy gifts aren't funny, they're just annoying. A much shorter list is exactly what we were going for. Stocking this guide with useful items that you know your boyfriend will love because it's something he needs or likes and not because it fits his gender is incredibly difficult. But that's why we did the hard work for you! Some of these gifts are down right practical. Things he'll actually use daily and probably won't let you wash when he accidentally throws it in with his whites. Some of these gifts are more thoughtful; a great way to show you've been paying attention. And none of them are boring or unworthy of being giftted. Boyfriends don't only need gifts for their birthdays. Sure that's probably the first thing that comes to mind but what about Christmas? Valentine's Day? Your anniversary? His promotion? To say sorry? Tuesday? There are so many occasions for gifts and they were all kept in mind when choosing these. Some are bigger and some are small but each one was made with various occasions in mind. You should never feel like you're buying a gift from a list. Pull open the man gifts tab and just go with whatever. Gifts for your boyfriend should feel personal.
