Christmas
It comes around every year, always on roughly the same date. And yet every year it still takes people by surprise. Scribbled notes apps lists, panic orders in mid December, expensive gifts that arrive and instantly feel like a mistake. We’ve watched that carousel turn for years now and we built this shop to stop it.
We wanted simple. The best gifts to give the people you care about at Christmas. Not some warehoused catalogue uploaded to a site, but a carefully edited group of ideas we actually love. Every product on these pages was chosen by us and every single one was asked the same question; would I be happy to find this sitting under my tree? Not just tolerate this. Not appreciate they went out of their way. Happy.
Loads got cut immediately. The boozy hamper that no-one wants to open. The novelty outfit they’ll wear once. The scented candle that just becomes the twelfth candle they don’t use. Things got cut because they didn’t fit that standard. And standards like that deserve to be upheld.
So what we’re left with should take care of everyone that’s difficult to buy for. Because let’s be honest, when Christmas rolls around there’s pretty much everyone. The sibling that says they want nothing. The best friend who already owns everything they’d ever want. The partner you can never read when it comes to this topic. Every year, without fail. Well we’ve got them too. We’ve bought for them too and trust us, we know what works.
Christmas just feels different. There’s more riding on. Most occasions you buy for are low stress. Presents for work mates, birthday gifts for friends. But Christmas is different. Someone drops the ball, it’s felt. Buying someone you love the wrong gift is just wrong felt. We take that seriously.
We also kept this bloody shop small for a reason. Better to have less that fit that ethos, than tonnes of stuff that don’t. So enjoy it. Probably spend a little longer looking than you would some jeggings rocking Santa pants. Because the right gift at Christmas doesn’t need elbow room to feel like enough. It just needs to be right.
