When you’re buying a gift for a Villa fan you feel a certain pressure. They’ve seen enough false dawns and empty seasons to scoff at anything twice wrapped in yesterday’s news and wondering vaguely what you’re going at. They can tell when you’ve gone to some trouble picking something out for them and when you’ve just grabbed whatever was flush with their favourite crest on a whim. We get the bar. We’ve also thought about who you’re buying for. Whether you’re the Villa fan who has everything and is really hard to buy for. Whether you’re the kid who has just become a Villa fan for the first time this year. Whether you’re the dad who has supported the team since before you were born and who’s loyalty to Villa has never wavered however dismal the league position. There’s no ‘one size fits all’ solution that’s going to cover all of these fans, which is why we’ve poured a lot of time into ensuring what we recommend is genuinely representative.
