Chicago Bulls
For every Bulls fan in Chicago, there’s another who has never set foot in the city. That person sat through life developmentally zeroed in on pixels portraying Michael Jordan, and figured that was good enough. You don’t need to have lived nearby to build that level of allegiance. But you do need the right Christmas present. That’s the problem we aimed to solve. Because at a certain point the official store starts to blurr together. Crew shirts in all sizes, keyrings, ‘novelty’ mugs. Most of it shouts Bulls from afar but reveals very little once you hold it.
We wanted better. We wanted to dig up gifts for people who grew up knowing that the 1990s Bulls dynasty was one of the best narratives in all of sports. Not basketball. Sports. There were six titles in eight years, a coach who seemed to bring a zen sensibility to the madness in Phil Jackson, and a guy named Jordan playing at a level we still struggle to comprehend. Gifts that reference that history resonate differently. They matter.
Perched somewhere between quality and meaning is everything we’ve linked to here. Any gift that will end up buried in a drawer was automatically disqualified. If it doesnt mean anything without the logo, we didn’t choose it. We wanted stuff you’d want to keep forever, whether that be on a shelf, a wall or your desk. We wanted stuff that you’ll actually pick up and admire as a Bulls fan, not simply stare at with a disinterested grin and pretend you like. That’s anothers persons problem.
Gift these to the person who can tell you where they were when for certain games. Gift these to the person who knows the starting five off the top of their head from 1996. Gift these to the person who will know instantly whether something feels cheaply produced, and who will OVER-THE-TOP brag about how well you nailed it if it doesnt. We curated this whole edit with these people in mind. And trust us, they are worth curating for.
