Gift shopping for a Wizards fan shouldn’t be this difficult. Team merch from every sporting goods store feels unthoughtful if you actually know and care about the person you’re buying for. We didn’t want to settle for that. So we curated this collection with the same care we approach everything else on this site. We simply asked ourselves, would we hand this gift over and feel confident in the choice?
Fans of the Washington Wizards are special. Supporting a franchise that has made you earn every shred of happiness instills a certain quality of character and the friends in your life that sport that fandom proudly should be gifted like that too. Curation was always more important to us than quantity. We aren’t interested in tossing in things that just so happen to have a logo on them.
What we did want to do was offer gifts that fit into the life of a genuinely passionate fan. Items that land on a desk, get tossed on for game day, or reside on a shelf because they meant something. We considered the die-hard that spent their childhood in the upper deck of Capital One Arena and the person who still wakes up at midnight to follow game scores. They both deserve to be celebrated with something meaningful.
Occasion was also a huge consideration. Buying something for a birthday mid-season has a different intent than say, a Christmas present. We took both into account when putting this collection together. Some of these gifts are special because they clearly show you were paying attention. Others work because let’s be honest, some Wizards fans are their own worst client and there’s something out there they’ve been meaning to buy but wouldn’t actually buy for themselves. We’re here to do it for you.
We didn’t want to overwhelm you with hundreds of products to sort through. That’s why this collection is small.
