Gift shopping for a Dallas Stars fan should feel easy. Until you’re at the store stocking up on logo mugs and officially licensed jerseys wondering if you’re actually giving them something meaningful or just going for the convenient option. We’ve stood in that exact spot too many times. A mascot bobblehead is not a gift. It’s a Band-Aid. And sure, they might love it at the time but will that item still be here when May rolls around?
We went out and found gear for the die-hard fan. Jerseys you’ll actually want to wear. Stuff that honors the history and tradition of the franchise because this team and these fans have more of both than most. That doesn’t mean every gift here is serious (what fun would that be? ), but everything we include should feel meaningful in its own way.
Dallas isn’t a hockey town by tradition like Minneapolis or Detroit. But that doesn’t mean they don’t take matters of wing and teal seriously. Fans in Big D chose hockey, and they’ve chosen to back their team with unabashed passion. A present for a Stars fan should fit that bill too; Or else it isn’t much of a present at all.
