Toronto Maple Leafs
For as long as most of us can remember our families wore their allegiances on their sleeves. It’s a specific type of blind loyalty that is passed down through the generations like an old couch. You don’t pick it. You inherit it. And for many Canadians that inheritance comes with white and blue stripes. Leafs fans are passionate. They have allowed the team to break their hearts time and time again and they show up to see them do it all over again the next season. Buying for a Leafs fan isn’t difficult if you know what you’re really buying them. You’re not buying just a jersey or a hat. You’re buying them one more way to show how they feel about their team. About their pride.
That’s why we put this list together. For the real Leafs fan. Not the guy who likes to casually drop “my team” into conversation every once in a while. We made this list for the guy who can recall specific games and specific losses and specific plays that are probably better off forgotten. We made this for the guy whose face literally does a thing whenever someone says the word “playoffs.”
Quality was our first priority and Leafs jerseys were our second. There is a market out there for cheaply made licensed sports gear just because companies can slap a team logo on it. We did not want any of that garbage on here. Everything we selected we would be okay with handing over wrapped. Gear that will get used, not some middle child outfield jacket that spends November in the back of a closet.
Range was another big thing for us. An older Leafs fan who is turning thirty will want different things than some kid whose mom just bought him his first hockey gear. But at the same time, we recognize there is a true die hard out there who already owns it all. We aimed to cover all of those areas without throwing random junk on here to bulk up the list. Less is more. We’ve always worked like that.
So if there’s a die hard in your life who bleeds blue and white and likely has a blood pressure problem for it, start here.
