It’s a unique relationship in that most gift giving categories are not. She’s not just another child that you know. She’s yours. Yours in the sense that you were chosen, you promised over God/buddha/the forces of the universe depending on your comfort with swearing to take care of her. So while the gift doesn’t need to be broke YOU bank by any means, it should reflect some of that. It should mean something, without trying too hard. A bath bomb set will not do. Neither will white elephant gift fodder that her parents will receive smiles over because it’s clearly intended for someone twice her age. We curated this edit specifically because we noticed the goddaughter is often overlooked by retail.
