Wedding Anniversary

Anniversaries come around once a year, but each year they seem to matter slightly more than the last. That’s part of what sets them apart from birthdays or Christmas. It’s not a celebration of a person. It’s the celebration of a decision you made once and continued to honour every day after. That means getting the gift right feels important in a way that’s impossible to quantify but instantly recognisable when it isn’t. How did we know? We spent ages thinking about what works and more importantly, what actually makes somebody say ‘wow’ on their anniversary. Not what fits an online material list tick box (although sometimes those would help us find the legitimately wonderful stuff) but rather asked if a gift could honestly reflect a relationship without becoming so sentimental it made everyone blush. That’s the line most anniversary gifts miss. They sway too far in one direction and become cold. Too far in another and they’d fit in perfectly on the inside of a greetings card. We picked everything in this collection ourselves, thinking about that particular couple. Whether they were celebrating their first anniversary or their silver or fort tieth. The gift you’d choose for two people who have been married for three years is very different to the one you’d pick for two people who have been married thirty. We accounted for that, rather than giving you one vanilla answer that will get you out of trouble. Some of the things we’ve picked are lovely because they’re beautiful objects you can use and use everyday. Some is less tangible because frankly sometimes the best gift you can give someone is a few hours where you know you’re not going to be separated once to go do boring chores and you’ve already got food. And some of it is personal in that sneaky way that requires more work from you but means so much more than something picked without thought. This isn’t padded. We don’t believe in throwing loads of weird stuff at you as a substitute for finding truly great gifts. Everything here is something we truly love. It’s earned its place on the site. And that’s all we ask of anything here.

10th Anniversary
